When the MOBO Awards were held in Liverpool, it presented easyJet with an ideal opportunity to promote the brand as the airline of choice for travel to London.
Partnering with JLS, one of the hottest bands in the UK, we staged a Capital FM competition which resulted in 50 lucky fans joining the stars to fly to Liverpool from Gatwick on a special easyJet flight. Twenty key journalists were on board to cover the trip.
Meanwhile, a competition with Liverpool’s Radio City enabled one fan and four friends to attend the MOBO awards.
A photo opportunity at Liverpool John Lennon Airport sparked further TV, newspaper and magazine coverage. All in all, we generated media exposure with an advertising value of more than £250,000.
